Biography

A cultural critic and columnist who occasionally writes poetry, fiction, and theatre texts. He holds a PhD in Cultural Studies and has previously worked as a bookstore manager, literary magazine editor, and university lecturer. He has long been engaged in observing and analysing developments in Chinese-language arts and culture, and has published critical essays for over twenty years.

He is the author of the essay collection Wayside Notes. A Hong Kong native, he is currently based in the United Kingdom.
